song of the week.
The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition
I love how this song has a way of making me feel so happy and carefree.
It's nice to feel that way sometimes.

poem of the week.
Carpe Diem Through Someone Else's Eyes
by Audra Donroe

I don’t read books-
Waste my time galvanizing
On someone else’s life
And how they wish they could have been,
Been more then just mere malicious
Words that dance around your brain
Like rain that pours, but isn’t wet
As if sweat would perspire, but only at rest

That’s why I don’t-
Sit in one spot and rehearse
Lines in my head,
Over and over and over again
Until they become real
Because, I rather go be real
And live the stories-
Not wish I did

Did what those vampires did
And suck the life out of reality
Manipulate, manipulate, manipulate
Fabricate, fabricate, fabricate
The fabrics of true life,
Into little itty bitty vocabulary
That cuts wounds deeper
Than a sharp knife

But you know, if you’re going to do it
Why don’t you be Tyler Durden
And learn a real message
Learn that life is fucked up
And we fuck it up

So don’t fuck it up
And let it slide right on fucking by
Because you only have one life to live
You only have one life to live

And even if you’re holding on
Like Holden Caufield,
Well that’s all right with me
Just realize there is a life to live,
And Holden would just not let it be

So write your English papers,
And walk around New York City like you own the place
Because you only live once,
So go find out who you really are

Because you are more then you think you are-
Because you are more then you think you are-

So put on that damn red hunting hat,
And leave what’s unread
Unread
